Language Translation Inc., a San Diego, California based company formerly known as Translation Services, has been serving the U.S. and countries abroad for over 17 years with professional document translation, certified conference interpreting, and software / website localization services.
We employ more than 1,100 professional translators and interpreters, covering
a wide array of specialized areas in more than 40 languages. Our translators
are all highly trained and experienced, each one translating into their native
language to ensure maximum accuracy.
Ana Maria Nevin
President
Ana Maria Nevin is the president of Language Translation, Inc., a language service company she started in 1989 as Translation Services. The company has grown to be a successful multi-language corporation providing translating, interpreting, localization, and telephonic interpreting to small, medium and fortune 500 businesses, worldwide.
Accredited by the American Translators Association as a Spanish language translator, Ana Maria does conference and court interpreting as a Certified Court Interpreter, a Certified Administrative Hearing Interpreter and a Certified Medical Interpreter for the State of California. Ana Maria’s experience has led her to being an Official Interpreter at the Olympic Games in Mexico City, Head Contract Translator for Wal-Mart International (Education Division), and past President of the San Diego Chapter of the California Court Interpreters Association.
Ana Maria holds degrees from the Southern California School of Interpreting in Los Angeles, California and the Translation & Interpretation Education Center in San Diego, California, and has degrees from Alliance Francaise - Paris, France, Universitá di Firenze - Florence, Italy, St. Joseph's College - Toronto, Canada and Colegio Guadalupe - Mexico City, Mexico.
Harold Nevin
General Manager
Harold Nevin is the General Manager of Language Translation, Inc.. Harold’s more than 25 years of experience in international business management, sales, and marketing bring an important facet to the Language Translation Team.
Harold’s past business experience include, Asian Sales Network, Altos Computer Systems, Fortune Systems, MAI/Basic4, Xerox and The Singer Company. And in more recent years, the EMS Group (of London) and TechBridge, Inc. (Japan) establishing sales channels throughout those regions.
Harold’s education includes degrees from Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management and Northwest Nazarene University.
Nev Grove
Director of Marketing
Nev Grove is Language Translation’s Director of Marketing. He is also a Founder of 1-for-All Marketing. Nev brings to our company more than 20 years of marketing and product management experience.
During his career, Nev has successfully launched numerous product and service offerings and has held senior technical, product management and marketing positions at leading companies such as IBM, Symantec, Memorex Telex, XTree, and Stac. Nev is a past president of CEMA, the Computer & Electronics Marketing Association (now the High-Tech Marketing Alliance, HTMA) and a San Diego iMarketers board member.
Nev ’s education includes degrees from the American Graduate School of International Management and the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Betty Carlson
Marketing Communications
Betty Carlson joined Language Translation, Inc. as our Marketing Communications specialist. Betty brings to us more than 25 years of experience in writing, communications, and language teaching skills.
Betty writes weekly posts to our Language Translation Blog and Language Links Blog. Betty also authors our media communications including press releases, white papers, and user guides. She is fluent in English and French.
Betty holds a Bachelor of Arts with distinction in English from Stanford University, Stanford, California.
Adriana Nevin
Corporate Sales Manager
Adriana Nevin joined Language Translation, Inc. as our Interpreting Services Manager. In this role, she was responsible for managing all events requiring multilingual interpreting services or interpretation equipment rental, and has managed many specialized events.
In 2007, Adriana was selected to manage our Corporate Sales department. As our Corporate Sales Manager, she is responsible for developing and maintaining corporate business relationships in an effort to expand our client base and grow our sales revenue.
Additionally, Adriana has several years of sales and customer service experience in both the fashion and financial industries.
Adriana holds an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Studies, and is currently working towards obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Family and Marriage Psychology, with a minor in Family Law. Adriana is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Chris Maroulakos
Senior Project Manager
Chris Maroulakos joined Language Translation, Inc. as a Project Coordinator, and was soon promoted to the position of Project Manager. He is currently Senior Project Manager. Chris oversees all translation and localization projects for LTI, both managing translators and providing support to clients.
Chris was previously employed as a Project Coordinator for Pegasus Solutions, the world’s largest third-party travel marketing and reservation provider. He holds certifications in Localization and Localization Project Management from California State University Chico, the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA), and The Localization Institute.
Chris graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Film and Video, and with minors in both Italian and International Studies. He spent several months living in Italy as a student of Temple University Rome, and speaks English, Italian, and Spanish.
Shannon McCollough
Executive Administrator
Shannon McCollough joined Language Translation, Inc. as our Executive Administrator. Shannon brings with her more than 20 years of administrative, marketing, and customer service knowledge. Shannon is responsible for all accounting, business and market reporting, sales tracking, search engine optimization and analytics.
Prior to working with us, Shannon held positions in office management, administration, and marketing at leading San Diego. Shannon is an active member of the San Diego iMarketers Association and San Diego Software Industry Council, and frequently attends training seminars.
Shannon holds a Bachelors degree in Business Marketing from the University of Phoenix in San Diego, as well as an Associate’s degree in Graphic Design from Platt College, San Diego.
