Conference Interpreting
Business conferences are often attended by people from all over the world who don’t speak the same languages as the presenters. Simultaneous interpretation is typically required in this setting.
Professional, skilled conference interpreters listen to the speaker, process the information, then simultaneously interpret the message into the target language, while the source-language speaker continuously speaks. The interpreters sit in a sound-proof booth, speak into a microphone, while clearly seeing and hearing the speaker via headphones. The interpretation is transmitted wirelessly to the target language listeners who each have a special receiver with earphones.
Two interpreters are usually necessary for conferences requiring simultaneous interpreting. We also provide special sound equipment, including a soundproof booth, an interpreter control console, a transmitter, and receivers with earphones.
Language Translation, Inc. maintains a comprehensive database of interpreters who are trained and certified to do conference interpreting. No matter the location, our agency can assist you.
