General Declaration

This privacy declaration informs you of the ways that Language Translation, Inc. (“LTI,” “we,” or “company”) collects and uses identifying information for individuals who visit www.languagetranslation.com and/or do business with us. We are committed to taking reasonable steps to protect information provided to us. This statement explains what information is collected, how it may be used, and how you can take steps to safeguard your privacy.

Use of Collected Information

We never sell our collected data to third parties. Most of the information we obtain will be used to provide translations for our customers. From time to time, we may use this information to better serve our customers’ needs or for promotional programs to offer products and services.

Unsolicited Emails

As a matter of policy, LTI will never intentionally send unsolicited email. We use an opt-in newsletter subscription service. Only those who opted in by signing up online or by consent through contact with LTI representatives by telephone, email or in person will be listed in our email database. You may opt out at any time.

Third Parties

Collected data may be shared with selected third parties with whom we work as subcontractors. These parties have signed agreements with us to not disclose information to outside parties nor to communicate directly with you without your and our express permission. These third parties are generally translators, editors, proofreaders and desktop publishers with whom we contract to provide translated documents or interpreters.

Cookies

A cookie is a small piece of data placed on a visitor’s computer when certain portions of a web site are visited. These cookies contain information that identifies a visitor so that a company can analyze use of the site and make changes to enhance the visitor experience. It is not required that a visitor accept cookies to access any part of the LTI web site. At this time, we do not employ cookies on our web site, but the company reserves the right to do so in the future. Individuals who do not wish to accept cookies can configure their browsers to post a warning when a web server is sending a cookie to visitor’s computers. Visitors can then refuse cookies on a case by case basis. As an alternative, visitors can configure their browsers to refuse all cookies.

Removal from Lists [Opt Out]

Individuals who wish to be removed from our databases may do so in the following ways:

If you wish to no longer subscribe to our newsletter, reply to the newsletter and write “unsubscribe” in the subject line.
Send email to webmaster@languagetranslation.com with a subject line “remove.” Please include the email address or other information that is to be removed in the body of the message.

LTI will make every effort to remove addresses as quickly as possible, upon request, but the company cannot guarantee that an individual will not receive at least one message from us before the database is updated.
