Translation Services

Translation is the process of rewriting written text from one language into one or more other languages. The text in a translation should flow so smoothly that the reader never even realizes that the document was originally written in another language. In short, a great translation is invisible.

With our team of over 2000 certified, experienced translators working in more than 100 languages and various industries, we make sure your company's written materials get the high-quality translations they deserve.

A Translation Service for Every Need

In a perfect world, you would never have to choose between quality, speed, and price. But we know that there may be times when looming deadlines or tight budgets put constraints on the translation process.

That's why we offer translation service levels to fit any situation. So whether you need an ultra-fast turnaround, reductions in your bottom line, or the best levels of quality possible, Language Translation has the perfect service for you.

ECONOMY

Process

Your document is run through a machine translation engine. Then, a professional human translator corrects any major mistakes in the text.

Quality Assurance

The post-edit by a professional translator aims at making the quality of the machine-translated text "good enough."

“Good enough” means the text is understandable and usable, but not linguistically or stylistically perfect. The text may still sound like it was generated by a computer, sentence structure might be somewhat unusual, and grammar may not be perfect, but the overall message is complete and accurate.

The "Economy" level also includes project management by our skilled team of professionals and a thorough formatting review prior to delivery. Certification is not available at this level.

Best For

Emails, internal correspondence, urgent deadlines, social media, text that will have a short lifespan, getting the gist of a news article.

BASIC

Process

Your document is translated by a professional human translator.

Quality Assurance

The trained translator is a native speaker of the target language, which is essential for accurate, natural-sounding translations. The translator is also a specialist in the document's subject matter, which lends valuable industry-specific knowledge to the translation process. There is no editing step by a second translator, which does increase the chances of typos and other errors in the final translation.

The "Basic" level also includes project management by our skilled team of professionals and a thorough formatting review prior to delivery. Certification is not available at this level.

Best For

General texts, non-technical texts, letters, guides, blogs.

Translation Memory

Translation Memory

Translation memory (TM) is a technology that recalls previously translated words and phrases while a translator types. That way, if a sentence appears multiple times in a file — or across multiple files — the translator doesn't need to translate it from scratch each time.

In addition to ensuring consistency throughout your translations, using a translation memory saves you money. We offer discounts based on the number of repeated words and phrases, which can really help your bottom line. And because we add to your customized TM with each project, the savings only increase over time.

Project Management

Project Management

Using expert translators and editors is essential for document translation services, but it's only part of the equation. For a truly successful translation, you also need a great project manager.

When you request a quote from us, one of our experienced project managers will analyze your project to define the scope, determine the timeline, and provide you with a quote.

Our project managers supervise all the resources involved in your project. But just as importantly, they act as your direct point of contact, addressing any questions you may have while ensuring that no detail of your requirements gets lost in translation.

And unlike some other translation companies, we include our project management free of charge.

Translation: A Buyer's Guide

Machine Translation

Machine Translation

Machine translation (also known as MT) involves using computers and software programs to automatically translate a text.

Initially met with skepticism in the industry, MT has come a long way in recent years. Of course, when high levels of quality and readability are needed, nothing can yet replace the intervention of a skilled, human translator.

But when you need large amounts of text translated cheaply and in an extremely short period of time, MT may be a suitable alternative. It can be useful when you just need the basic gist of a text, or when you want to know what's being said in texts with a short shelf life, such as blog or social media posts.

If you're considering machine translation, one of our consultants will be happy to advise whether it's right for you.

Certification

Certification

A certification is often required when your translation needs to be used for legal, medical, or governmental purposes. For all translations performed at our "Premium" service level, we can provide a certification to you — free of charge.

Our certification is a document that accompanies your translation, affirming that the translation was performed by us — a corporate member of the American Translators Association (ATA) and Association of Language Companies (ALC) — and that, to the best of our knowledge, the translation completely and accurately reflects your source text.

Please note that certification is not available at the "Economy" or "Basic" service levels.
